Course Syllabus

First Semester Topics:

ART 2: Students continue to build upon and expand concepts learned in Art Basics. Color is emphasized over black and white media. 1st semester topics include Design, Drawing and Mixed -media. A sketchbook must be kept up to date on a weekly basis. The making of creative and original artwork is emphasized. An understanding of original art and plagiarism is discussed from a student perspective throughout the year.

ART 3: Students work with conceptually challenging, intellectually appealing, and genuine images. A variety of media is explored, including 3-D architectural model. A sketchbook is required to be kept up to date on a weekly basis. 

ART 4: Students work individually with the teacher/mentor to discern and develop a process and intention for artistic growth geared to their personal vision.
